OBREGON - Miguel "Barreterito" Beltran thanked everyone who have been asking about his health, and he will soon start the road to recovery. Beltran suffered the first loss of his career when he was overcome by Jocksan Hernandez with a knockout in the tenth round, after the fight the featherweight was taken to a private clinic where he was treated in a timely manner.

"I thank God, and I also want to thank my family and everyone who were awaiting to see how I was doing, "said Beltran, who was accompanied by his father Guadalupe Beltran, his mother Lourdes Ruiz and his girlfriend Claudia Valenzuela.

Beltran remembers every moment of his confrontation with Hernandez from last Saturday. He suffered a hematoma in an area which fortunately for him does not cause brain damage.

"I am excited because I will soon be discharged, the doctor told me in three days I will be discharged, and I can return to my house, and we'll see after that what our future is in boxing, "said Beltrán Ruiz.

The neurosurgeon predicted between 3 and 6 months before Beltran can return to action in boxing.

"They drained the hematoma so he's out of danger. We will see how he does in the next three days and then can return to home, and return to the ring in three to six months, " said doctor who treated Beltran.
