The full card for the Nordic Fight Night at Musikteatret Albertslund has been set, with Bjoern Blaschke (9-2, 5 KOs) confirmed as the new opponent for Micki Nielsen. The unbeaten Danish cruiserweight (10-0, 8 KOs) was slated to face Andreas Guenther, who pulled out on short notice. “I don´t care who I fight,” Micki Nielsen said. “Whoever gets in the ring with me in my hometown will get defeated!”
Blaschke, from Germany, boasts a record of nine victories and two losses, along with 5 KOs. “The fight is scheduled for eight rounds, which is longer than Micki has ever fought before,” promoter Nisse Sauerland said. “Of course the Albertslund fans will be hoping for a KO win, so it will be important for Micki to keep his composure and stick to the game plan. That´s not easy when a packed arena wants you to jump on your opponent and put him down. But I am sure Micki will manage.”
Micki and his brother Patrick, who will defend his WBA&WBO Intercontinental Middleweight Titles against Jose Pinzon in the main event of the evening, will hold a special fan work-out tomorrow (Saturday, Nov 9) at 14:00 at the City2 Shopping Centre in Taastrup.
On the undercard on November 16, Rashid “The Dream” Kassem (3-0, 1 KO) will come face-to-face with French KO specialist Maxime Roussel (4-1-1, 4 KOs). All four of the 23-year-old´s victories have come by the way of KO. For the full fight card, please visit
