Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - When it comes to opponents, Jose Hernandez out of Ft. Worth, TX, is about as tough as they come with his loses coming to either prospects like Sharif Bogere or contenders like Oscar Meza. Hernandez is a fun fighter to watch. The last time he was on television, he fought in a fight-of-the-year style match with prospect Michael Angel Perez.
Mickey Bey Jr. found out Hernandez's worth the hard way as he was forced to go to war. Both guys came out of this battered and bruised in eigth grueling rounds that saw Bey and Hernandez fight to a majority draw. The scores were 78-74 for Bey and two cards of 76-76 for the draw. Bey's record goes to 6-0-1 (8KOs), while Hernandez now stands at 10-4-1 (4KOs).
