Michael "The Artist" Perez (20-1-2) has advised BoxingScene.com that he is now being trained by world class trainer Robert Garcia and that he is likely to return to the ring on September 6th.
"It looks like we are fighting in September 6th. We are looking at a couple of names.
"I am now training with Robert Garcia. I felt like I needed to make a change to get the best out of my abilities. It was between Garcia and Freddie Roach and I decided on Garcia," Perez told BoxingScene.com.
Perez has gone (5-0-1) since since suffering his only loss, a stoppage loss to Omar Figueroa in January, 2012.
September 6th is also the date being mentioned for the return of Adrien Broner, Lucas Matthysse, and Andre Berto. Brooklyn and San Antonio have been mentioned as possible host cities for the tripleheader.
