At the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, welterweight Michael Jennings (35-2, 17 KOs) returned to the ring for the first time since his crushing knockout loss to Miguel Cotto back in February. He semed to gain back some confidence by stopping previously undefeated Willie Thompson (6-1-1) in the fourth round.

Jennings came out a bit cautious in the first two rounds, boxing and moving. He began to step it up in the third by becoming more active, and let his hands fly in the fourth. A right hand in the fourth sent Thompson down pretty hard. The fight was quickly waved off by the ref.
