Michael Jennings July 3 Return Cancelled By Frank Warren

Promoter Frank Warren has cancelled his July 3rd promotion at Preston's Guildhall.

Local hero Michael Jennings was scheduled to headline the show in a challenge for the Vacant British Welterweight title against John O'Donnell, but the Shepherd's Bush fighter withdrew with a back injury.

Previous to this Jennings was due to meet big rival Kell Brook, but Brook damaged his ribs in sparring.

Unable to secure a suitable opponent for Jennings, Warren has taken the decision to cancel the show.

He said, "We are very disappointed for the fans, Michael Jennings and the rest of the boxers on the show. We will reschedule the bout when O'Donnell is fit."
