Looks like unbeaten Michael Conlan will return to the ring on September 22, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told BoxingScene.com in a recent interview.
The 25-year-old Conlan will appear in a six round bout against an opponent to be determined.
Conlan's fight will be on the undercard of Oscar Valdez's world title defense, which will take place in Tucson, Arizona.
Conlan (3-0, with 3 KOs) last appeared on July 2, stopping Jarrett Owen in the third round in Brisbane, Australia. The fight appeared on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn fight, which aired live on ESPN.
Managed by former world middleweight title challenger Matthew Macklin, Conlan has stayed busy since making his pro debut on March 17 at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. He was led to the ring by UFC superstar Conor McGregor, who next month will face the comebacking Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match.
Conlan is from Belfast, Northern Ireland, but trains in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson. He is trained by Manuel 'Manny' Robles.
