Michael Conlan is already a well-traveled fighter having performed in New York, Chicago and most recently in Brisbane, Australia during his short three-fight career. Now he prepares for his next assignment on September 22nd in Tucson, Arizona.

Conlan, who turned pro in March at the Theater of Madison, is embracing the hectic schedule.

"Yeah, loving it,'' said Conlan (3-0, 3 KO's) to BoxingScene.com from Legendz Boxing in Norwalk, California. "I can't wait, we're going to have this one September 22nd and then I'll have another one in the start of November and then another one in December. So I'm feeling good and staying active."

The activity that is being provided to him is one of the reasons why he inked with Top Rank after the 2016 Olympics.

Conlan explained - "There's not many promoters in the world that can keep me as active so that's one of the reasons I signed with them. I wanted to get a lot of fights under my belt the first year and the second year and then be in title contention by the third year."

The young featherweight will also be showcased in Ireland, eventually.

"That is the plan, I'm not sure it's going to happen this year because they want to have me as a main event. But we do have it under contract that we can have at least one fight a year in Ireland and it's up to me whether I want to take it or not," said Conlan, who moved out to California to focus in on his pro career.

Conlan says he has settled into the pro game - "The smaller gloves, no headgear hasn't been a problem. It's more of the stylistic stuff, settling down on the punches a bit more and taking my game out more. That's the stuff I kind of have to get used to but I feel I've acclimated enough so far."
