Mia St. John boxed beautifully in Cozumel, Mexico to win a deserved unanimous decision against rugged Colombian Dary Pardo.

Clad in what appeared to be a shocking pink tennis dress, Mia served a constant, but varied array of combinations behind a rapier like left jab. Sporting a red headed crew cut, Dary kept coming fowarard but was caught coming in constantly.

Legendary trainer Rudy Perez was in Mia's corner acting as her confidant and Tio, with tutorials between rounds.

The result was good head movement, intelligent lateral movement, and a superior style to thwart a strong and tough opponent who came to fight, but didn't get the chance to get close enough to do anything effective.

It was reflected after eight entertaining rounds with 80-72 twice, and 80-73 once. Mia deservedly keeps her WBC Welterweight womens'  title with a vintage performace.
