Mexican trio want Manny next
By: James Blears

Mexican trio Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera and Oscar Larrios are all
targeting Manny Pacquiao as their prefered next opponent.

In an interview, counting down to Morales V Barrera 111 WBC Championship
Super Featherweight blockbuster, Erik stressed that in his opinion a fight
against Manny would be a tougher prospect for him than the one he's
currently training for. He also disagreed that this final clash with Barrera
makes better business sense than meeting Manny in the ring.

He praised Manny saying: "He did extremely well against Barrera knocking him
out. Manny was the better fighter with the better form. He's also knocked
Juan Manuel Marquez down three times.

Erik confirmed that his next fight date, after November 27th, will probably
be in February. But a sizzler between Erik against Manny will have to be
made soon, because Erik is planning to move up to lightweight.

Marco Antonio Barrera is still burning from the eleven round battering Manny
handed him. In his gym in the Iztacalco area of Mexico City, Marco
identified Manny as his number one goal after the Morales fight, even with
the knowledge that WBO Featherweight champion Scott Harrison will be at
ringside to challenge the victor of the fight between him and Erik.

Marco said: "Manny is my priority after this fight. He's a very good
fighter. I had a bad night against him, but I've got the capacity to come
back from the loss against him and win."

Last but not in any way least WBC Super Bantamweight Champion Oscar Larrios
who's defending his title against Australia's Nedal Hussein on the same
bill, said that he would like to unify the belts defeating Israel Vazquez
and Joan Guzman. But his real ambition would be to move up one (division)
and take on Manny, and Marco...in that specific order.

All three confirmed that Manny's recent ring rattlers have more than caught
their attention.
