MONTREAL -- Heavyweight Joe Mesi will have a new opponent for his six-round bout Friday night after Daniel Frank encountered visa trouble in Brazil.
Frank (17-11-1) was unable to receive his visa on time to make it to the bout, promoter Yvon Michel said.
He will be replaced by Stefan Tessier (3-7-0), who is from St-Philippe-de-Laprairie, Quebec.
Mesi (30-0), a former No. 1 ranked heavyweight, is on a comeback after sustaining a serious head injury in 2003.
The featured bout has super-welterweight Joachim Alcine (26-0) of Montreal against Javier Mamani (28-4-1) of Argentina.
