Angel “Memo” Heredia and Victor Conte may both work with fighters and provide them services to get them into the best physical condition possible but they are both currently involved in a fight of their own; against each other.

For weeks now, both men have taken to Twitter to attack and argue with one another. From questioning how they handled their past troubles for supplying PEDs to the current methods of random testing for fighters; they have gone back and forth with the end seemingly nowhere in sight.

BoxingScene caught up with Angel Heredia and asked about the Twitter war and his thoughts on Victor Conte.

Conte had his former fighter Nonito Donaire become the first boxer to participate in year round random drug testing using VADA.

Heredia on the other hand prefers USADA and informed BoxingScene that his fighters would participate in random drug testing using that agency. Angel explains his preference and says he has also invited Conte on several occasions to hash out their differences in a public forum.

“I feel I'm more a USADA guy. Why? Because I've worked with USADA for many years. I know their protocol very well and I think the experience takes over. So his problem is not about that, he just wants to be hanging on my shoulder every time. He might be in love with me, I don't know. To be honest with you I still don't know what his problem is but on several occasions I invited him to talk openly [in front] of cameras but he doesn't want to. I don't know why but I guess he just feels more stronger behind Twitter,” said Heredia.

The war of words is still on and continues to escalate between both men. Heredia is currently working with Jean Pascal for his upcoming fight and Cruiserweight BJ Flores has also retained Heredia’s services.
