ENGLISH light-heavyweight champion Danny McIntosh will box a six rounder against Hastings Rasani at Bury’s Castle Leisure Centre on Saturday night (11/6).
McIntosh, 30, hasn’t boxed since February when he captured the English crown with a dramatic second round knockout of Tony Oakey.
Danny’s only defeat in 12 contests came in July 2009 when he lost in seven rounds to world class Nathan Cleverly in a British and Commonwealth title challenge.
And McIntosh would love another crack at the Commonwealth crown held by arch rival Tony Bellew.
He added: “I want a world title. I know it sounds a pipedream considering where I am now but that is where I am aiming.”
Rasani who has twice challenged for the Commonwealth title was born in Zimbabwe, but is now based in Birmingham
Heading the Bury bill is unbeaten local fighter Rhys Roberts who challenges Georgian George Gachechiladze for the vacant International Masters super-bantamweight title.
