TORONTO – Logan Cotton McGuinness (10-0-1, 4 KO’s) has crisscrossed Canada, fought in the US, and has even been to Ireland twice in going undefeated in his first 11 pro fights. But this Saturday night at Mississauga’s Hershey Centre, he’s coming home.

McGuinness will be making his Ontario debut, taking on tough Quebecer Jorge Bannos (6-6-3) in a bout scheduled for 8 rounds, and presented by United Promotions in association with Hennessy Sports Canada.

“This is my first fight in Ontario, and I’m really looking forward to finally showcasing my talents in front of my home fans, ” McGuinness said.

In September of 2009, McGuinness and Bannos battled over four exciting rounds in Montreal, with McGuinness coming away with a unanimous decision.

Currently riding a two-fight win streak, Bannos has redemption on his mind, and some momentum on his side.

“I already know Bannos can fight, and that he’s tough as nails. He's come to my home province and beaten two Ontario fighters back to back, so I'm taking this personally. Everyone keeps talking about how great Quebec fighters are, and they are definitely talented, but Ontario is emerging as a serious rival. With that said, I'm looking forward to not only winning, but punishing Bannos and stopping him in style. I can't wait to send this guy back down Highway 401 with his mouth shut and his tail between his legs."

Saturday night's stacked card also features a Canadian Welterweight Championship showdown between Justin Fountain and Tebor Brosch, as well as local favorites Denton Daley, Ryan Wagner, Horace Hunter, and Julius Bundas.
