Floyd Mayweather Jr. is digging deep to break the focus of Shane Mosley. Their fight takes place this Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. During a recent interview on ESPN radio, Mosley, tired of Mayweather's verbal jabs regarding the BALCO scandal, fired off some verbal fire of his own by telling the listeners that Mayweather may have “dabbled” with performance enhancing drugs and said Mayweather's security team have the appearance of steroid abusers.

Mayweather dug deep with his response. He "suggested" Mosley lied to a grand jury during the BALCO investigation three years ago. Mosley told the grand jury he "unknowingly" used performance enhancing drugs in 2003. He has a ongoing defamation suit against BALCO Lab founder Victor Conte. Mosley claims Conte never advised him about the illegal and dangerous nature of the drugs he purchased prior to the 2003 rematch with Oscar De La Hoya.

Mayweather doesn't believe Mosley. He says the current WBA welterweight champion knew exactly what he was taking and deserves the same fate as former track star Marion Jones, who served six months in prison for lying to federal agents in the same investigation pertaining to the BALCO Lab.

“We do know this: We know that Shane lies under oath,” Mayweather was quoted as saying by David Mayo of The Grand Rapids Press. “So we know one thing that is going to happen. If Marion Jones went to jail, we know that Shane is going to jail. That's one thing we do know he's going to do. He's going to do some time."

Mayweather found Mosley's steroid accusations amusing. The two fighters are currently taking part in USADA's random Olympic-style drug testing protocol. Floyd threw further questions on Mosley's record by asking if the former three division champion had won any of his major fight without the use of steroids.

"Everybody's entitled to their own opinion,” Mayweather said. “Why would I bring USADA to the table, why would I bring the Olympic drug committee to the table, if I'm doing something?  Why would I want to bust myself? That doesn't make sense.

“Then, I heard he spoke on my security, about them doing steroids. Why is you snitching? Why is you trying to put everybody on your steroid team? Like I said before, we don't really know how many fights Shane has won, being clean. We don't know. Has he ever been clean? Do we know? No, we don't know."
