WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) has announced that his rematch with Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) is a done deal for September 13th on Showtime Pay-Per-View. Mayweather has confirmed the rematch is taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where the first bout was staged, and kills any rumors of Mayweather potentially fighting at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn [at least this year].

"Mayweather vs. Maidana 2 on September 13, Live on Showtime PPV. #Mayhem" - Mayweather posted on the social networks.

Mayweather had a tougher time than expected when he faced Maidana on May 3rd, and walked away with a majority decision. The fight with Maidana will only be the second time that Mayweather had a rematch in his career.  He fought, and beat, Jose Luis Castillo twice in 2002.
