In response to some recent interviews, WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. took to the social networks and sent a message to his followers, advising them that his side of the negotiations are not to blame for the recent stall in finalizing a May 2nd unification with Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, stated in several interviews that Mayweather's team is dragging their feet in getting a deal done.
Mayweather posted a photo of last Tuesday's meeting with Pacquiao in Miami. The two fighters first met at a basketball game earlier that day and then a few hours later they sat down for over an hour at Pacquiao's hotel suite. Mayweather, which Pacquiao's team confirmed, had contacted them to set up the hotel meeting.
"I set up this meeting with Manny Pacquiao to get this fight done but they will continue to tell the public it's us and that's NOT TRUE," Mayweather wrote on the social networks.
