The fight is less than a week away and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still firing a mouthful of verbal blows in Shane Mosley's direction. The fight takes place on May 1 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. During the latest edition of HBO's reality series, Mayweather-Mosley 24/7, the flamboyant fighter vowed to pick up where some of Shane's past opponents have left off.
"Shane is thinking about the fight. I'm thinking about the check. He's thinking about hitting me with his power, his hard power, but we all know his ass already hit the deck. Vernon Forrest f**ked you up. Winky Wright f**ked you up. Miguel Cotto f**ked you up. Money Mayweather, I'm a f**k you up some more," Mayweather said.
The war of words have been heating up over the last few weeks. Even a calm trainer like Naazim Richardson has taken part in the verbal battle, and that's exactly what Mayweather wanted.
"You can never worry about what the trainer says. He's making peanuts. I told ya'll I can get in the trainer's head mentally, because from the beginning the trainer said he's not going to get into all this word play, all these arguments, bickering, back and forth, but guess what buddy - we got you because you're going back and forth now buddy. We got you buddy," Mayweather said.
And Mosley has really picked up the pace with his own brand of trash talking, which is something he never did with past opponents. Mayweather continued to pull rank by comparing their bank accounts and added insult to injury by offering to give Mosley a job after he beats him.
"What's so crazy, once again Shane....he says the stupidest things. He said that he don't fight for money. He's 40-years-old and he don't fight for money. Well brother, I'm 33 and I don't fight for legacy, I don't fight for none of that. I fight for the check. I'm in the check cashing business," Mayweather said.
"I don't care about nothing Shane talking about. Shane broke. F**k Shane. Shane wants to be me. Shane, I told you - we'll get you a job. I'll let you hold my feet while I'm doing sit-ups, something like that."
