MGM Grand, Las Vegas - WBC/WBO/WBA Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) reacted to questions regarding a potential rematch with Miguel Cotto, who holds the WBC middleweight title.

Mayweather fought Cotto at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds in May of 2012, and won a twelve round unanimous decision at the MGM Grand.

There doesn't appear to be a heavy amount of interest from Mayweather's end in a rematch. Mayweather has always maintained that he beat a solid version of Cotto in 2012, but felt the media downplayed the victory by saying Cotto was shopworn and seen better days. Cotto's career is now back in full force, after knocking out Sergio Martinez last June for the WBC middleweight title and riding a three fight knockout streak.

"Miguel Cotto....solid fighter, strong, good puncher. But, if I'm not mistaken you guys were the same ones who said I was fighting a guy who he was washed up. But when he comes back and beats Martinez, you said he was reborn again. Same thing when I beat Marquez, you guys said he was washed up. He comes back and beats Pacquiao and he's born again," Mayweather said.
