Raleigh, NC - Maynard Allison has been training all of his life to perform on the biggest stages and under the hottest lights.  His practice, patience, and preparation have him ready to shine in Las Vegas September 16.

Maynard Allison 5-0 (4 KO's) works the bags in the hot, sweaty, North Carolina gym like it is the last round of a championship fight. Whether it is running, sparring, lifting weights, or shadow boxing, Allison's approach to training is exactly the same: "Work Like You Are Trying To Take The Title!"

Allison's approach to training and life was learned from his mother.  "My mom taught me if you wan't something you have to work like you're hungry and work like you really want it.  Well, I'm hungry, and I really want to be a champion and take care of my family.  No, I'm really hungry.  This big dawg needs to eat.  I'm looking for a rib sandwich!"

Mr. Marvelous Maynard Allison will have his chance to eat at the big table Friday, September 16 at the Chelsea inside of the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.  Allison will be facing his toughest opponent in Ladarius Miller 10-1 (2 KO’s).   Miller, who fights out of Las Vegas under Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s Mayweather Promotions, is looking to firmly establish himself in the lightweight division.  He is also hungry to make a name for himself with "The Money Team" (TMT).

Maynard Allison understands what Miller wants and where he is professionally.  Allison also knows he is going into the Lion's Den to face Miller, but Maynard Allison believes Team Allison has one big advantage:  "Ladarius has had a taste of everything I want.  I want what he has and then some.  The only way to get it, is to go take it.  I'm hungrier than he is, and I want it.  I'm going to get it!"

Maynard Allison is managed by Anthony Brown of “Bare Knuckles Entertainment” and coached by Keedar Massey of “Inner City Boxing Gym” in Durham, NC.  Since joining forces with the powerful Greg Cohen Promotions (GCP), Team Allison continues to set a course for an extremely productive and very busy 2016.
