Mauricio Herrera (21-5) is very happy that his upcoming fight against Hank Lundy is taking place in Los Angeles, California, which is close to his hometown of Riverside.

Herrera has fought in many of his opponents backyards and expects to have a lot of support when he steps in the ring at the LA Sports Center. The fight will be broadcast on HBO Latino.

"I am not used to it. It never really happened. I come from close to LA. A lot of people from Riverside will be coming out. It will be a fun night. It is exciting. I am happy it is in LA and I will have a lot of people rooting for me this time," Herrera stated.

In a recent interview on Boxingscene.com, Lundy warned Herrera that he doesn't fight anything like fellow Philadelphia native Danny Garcia. Last year Herrera lost a controversial majority decision to Garcia in Puerto Rico.

Herrera said that he hopes that means Lundy will stand and exchange punches with him.

"That's fine. I hope he does trade with me because I think I heard he say that he is going to box me because everyone I fought had an aggressive style.

"He says he's from Philly - well let's see. I'm sure the people wouldn't mind seeing him fight with a Philly style and that's to sit there and exchange. I will outsmart him, whatever he wants to do," Herrera explained.

The 35-year-old Herrera said that he is very prepared for this fight and even though he isn't known for his power - he feels there is a good chance the fight won't go the distance.

"They are going to see a maestro in the ring teach him a lesson and hopefully break him down before the 10th round," Herrera told BoxingScene.com.
