BoxingScene.com recently reported that undefeated super lightweight Maurice "Mighty Mo" Hooker (19-0-2) signed a promotional contract with Roc Nation Sports.
We recently caught up with the 26-year-old to find out how the union took place.
"I've been talking with them since last year, around, I want to say July. They tried to sign me and we've just been talking until now and we got it done," said Hooker whose main priority at the moment is television exposure.
"I just asked for them to put me on tv so I can get know more around the world and then fight for some type of belt."
The Texas native was 3-0 in 2015 and said that he wants to be more active in 2016. He said that his first fight with RNS will take place in March and it could possibly be on promotional stablemate Andre Ward's undercard which is rumored for March 26th in Oakland, Calif.
"I should be back back sometime in March. I want to stay busy. I want to fight more than three times this year. Five times is what I really want. That would be good," Hooker revealed.
The ultra-confident Hooker finished our conversation by saying that he is ready for the best in the division.
"When I get a belt I won't be dodging anybody. I just want to fight the best out there. Fans can follow me at maurice_hooker01 on Instagram and Maurice Hooker in Facebook," Hooker told BoxingScene.com
