Unbeaten Boxer Hooker to help out Super Storm Sandy Victims

Maurice "Mighty Mo" Hooker, 6-0- (5 KO's and 1 draw) of Dallas is scheduled to fight December 19 in New York's

famous Roseland Ballroom on a benefit card being put on for the recent storm victims. Hooker and his corner are even donating their purse for good measure.

"This will be my first time ever in New York," said the Dallas native Hooker. "I'm excited about going and helping out.

Joining Hooker on his trip will be trainer and former world lightweight champion Jesus Chavez; manager Arnie Verbeek; strength and conditioning coach Manny Hernando and Coach Ali.

Hooker had a successful amateur career before joining the professional ranks of boxing and is rapidly making name for himself as a pro.

He will be fighting at 140 pounds. His opponent is Cameron Kreal from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight is being promoted by Lou Di Bella and his popular Broadway Boxing Series.
