Talks are ongoing to finalize an agreement for a fight between Viktor Postol (27-0, 11KOs) of Ukraine and Lucas Matthysse (37-3, 34KOs) of Argentina, who were ordered to fight for the vacant WBC junior welterweight belt that was dropped by Danny Garcia several weeks ago.

According to Golden Boy Promotions Vice President Eric Gomez, there is a possibility of the fight taking place on October 3rd at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Last year Matthysse has a "Fight of The Year" battle at StubHub with John Molina. The fight saw Matthysse go down twice, before coming back to drop Molina three times for a knockout win.

"We are still negotiating. We have nothing set, but we're getting close. There are still some details that need to be worked out. I think we're 80 percent [there] in the negotiations," said Gomez to ESPN Deportes.
