With two shows already set for the new season, Coldwell Boxing’s October 12th show scheduled for The Bowlers in Manchester has been boosted with the gloried name of Matthew Hatton being added to the show. With full card set to be announced in the coming days, Dave Coldwell is delighted to add the former European champion to what promises to be another grand Coldwell Boxing occasion.

“Matthew is a quality fighter and he’s someone I’ve admired for a long time,” said Coldwell. “He’s fought at championship level for a long time now and he’s shared the ring with some of the sport’s best names including Ben Tackie, Saul Alvarez and Kell Brook. He’s got an IBO title shot set for early next year so he’s going to have an eight-round fight on our show in October and that should hopefully put him in a good place as he prepares for his next big opportunity.”

“Last time out against Brook, things never went Matthew’s way but he can be proud of the effort he made because he was in there with a real class opponent. The next chapter in Matthew’s career is set to begin on October 12th and I’m delighted that Coldwell Boxing is part of Matthew’s way back. This show promises to be another cracker from us and we’ll be announcing full details of the card in the near-future.”

Matthew Hatton boxes at The Bowlers in Manchester on October 12th. Also in action will be former ABA champion Hosea Burton, David Barnes, Mark Thompson and the professional debut of Liverpool’s Anthony Jevons.
