Matthew Hatton, 42-5-2 (16), has been cast in the role of underdog going into his March 17th showdown with Kell Brook at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena yet the Manchester-based boxer firmly believes that this fight is a two horse race.

“I’m looking forward to it,” said ‘Magic’ when speaking to BoxingScene.com about the ‘War Of The Roses’ clash.  “It is a fight that I always felt would happen.  People are making me out as a big underdog, a big betting underdog as well, but to be honest that doesn’t worry me.”

Indeed, the 30-year-old is bringing his IBF International welterweight title to the table and boxed at a much higher level when facing Mexican sensation Saul Alvarez last March.  Although a clear loser on the scorecards in that one, Hatton believes that the experience of going up against Alvarez will hold him in good stead.

“I enjoy being the underdog sometimes because you go in there with nothing to lose and everything to gain,” declared the former European welterweight champion.
