Matthew Hall and Prince Arron have been paired in a final eliminator for the British light-middleweight title.  The styles of Hall, from Salford, and Arron, who hails from Droylsdon, Manchester, are like chalk and cheese; Hall, who joined Anthony Farnell in the aftermath of last July’s loss to Anthony Small, is a come-forward fighter; Arron is 6’ 3’’ and boxes behind a long jab, although trainer Bob Shannon has recently introduced some grit into the 22-year-old’s approach.

The winner will get a crack at Sam Webb, who took the title from Small in March via majority decision.  Hall, 26, believes that he can get past Arron. “I wanted that British title so bad.  I wondered if I would ever get another chance to win one, but it looks as if I might now,” declared Hall when speaking to Iain Axon of Frankwarren.tv.

“Arron is good but he's not that good, and if he is standing between me and a Lonsdale belt, there is only one winner.”

Arron shot to prominence when winning Prizefighter: The light-middleweights in February, the 19-3-1 (2) boxer has since decisioned Max Maxwell and defeated Tony Randell in six rounds, Arron’s second stoppage win over the popular journeyman.  Hall made his return from the Small loss on May’s Katsidis-Mitchell bill, Matthew defeated mutual foe Randell by third-round TKO in that one and is fighting Cedric Vitu for the EBU-EU 154lb title on September 24th.
