A special attraction has been added to the Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn on April 13. Undefeated European Cruiserweight Champion Mateusz “The Master” Masternak (29-0, 21 KOs) will be seeking his 30th win when he takes on Sean Corbin (15-3, 10 KOs) in a 12-rounder at Arena Nord. “We´re delighted to present the Scandinavian fans a first-hand look at one of the hottest cruiserweight prospects out there,” promoter Nisse Sauerland said. “Mateusz Masternak has incredible boxing skills and his record speaks for itself. He will be the Master of Disaster for Corbin.”

The hard-hitting Pole has sent shockwaves through the cruiserweight division, having knocked out 21 of his 29 opponents. Following a successful amateur career Masternak turned professional in 2006 and wasted no time making his presence known, dispatching his first five opponents inside the distance. In only his eleventh fight Masternak defeated Alex Mogylewski with a fifth-round KO to become WBC Youth World Cruiserweight Champion (interim). At the age of only 25, he then became the EBU European Cruiserweight Champion following a one-sided victory over Juho Haapoja last December. In Frederikshavn, he will not put his European Title at stake but fight for the WBC International Silver Belt.
