On February 4th in Frankfurt, Germany, undefetaed Polish cruiserweight Matthew Masternak (24-0, 18 KOs) will make his debut with Sauerland Event, against Michael Simms (22-15-2 14 KO). Masternak is trained by Andrew Gmitruk, who previously trained Polish superstar and former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek. Among his many defeats, Simms has only been stopped once, in four rounds by rising cruiser Rakhim Chakhkiev in September 2011.
In the main event of the show, Yoan Pablo Hernandez will defend the IBF cruiserweight title against former beltholder Steve Cunnigham.
