The left-handed virtuoso born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, and resident of the Tijuana border since childhood - Marvin Quintero - is in the final stage of his preparation for the scheduled fight on April 21st in Morelia, Michoacan. He faces unbeaten Filipino Al Sabaupan (18-0-1, 13 KOs) in a final lightweight eliminator to grab the number one ranking under the International Boxing Federation (IBF).

The winner will land a shot at the IBF's talented champion, Miguel "Puppet" Vazquez of Guadalajara.

"We've been very focused for this fight. I don't miss a single detail of my coach's instructions. We are doing the right things to ensure that I leave with my arm raised that night. And I can not be denied. In my dreamns, I beat the Filipino and win the title," Quintero (24-3, 20KOs) said.

"We've seen some videos of him and we realize that the fight will not be easy, but we are ready for any scenario that presented in the fight. We have many possibilities to impose our style and win that night. If we can, we will try to end the [fight before the distance]."
