Angel "Archangel" Martinez has promised to get revenge for a February TKO loss to Lucas Matthysse, as he returns to Argentina for the second time this year when he faces Marcos "El Chino" Maidana on Wednesday December 12th at the mythical Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires. Martinez, who has 13 wins (9 of them by KO) 3 losses and 1 draw, is looking to snap a two-fight losing streak.

"At this point I'm used to dealing with high level opponents, as I've been in the ring with Matthysse and Jaca. But I've also faced solid boxers in my own country, like Ricardo Dominguez. So I'm prepared to take Maidana to war. Mexicans are not frightened in the face of great challenges, so Maidana will have to be well prepared because I'm not going to lay down," said Martinez.

Maidana (32-3, 29 KOs) is fighting for the first time in Argentina since September 2011, and returns from a September TKO victory over Jesus Soto-Karass.

"Fighting in the United States is the most important thing for a fighter. But to do fight before your people has a special flavor to it. And although it does not happen very often, whenever the opportunity arises I like to get in the ring in Argentina. And especially if [the ring is inside] Luna Park, "said Maidana.
