Roman 'Rocky' Martinez, the former junior lightweight champion of the WBO, confirmed to BoxingScene.com/The Sport Press that a fight with Mexico's Orlando "Siri" Salido, who currently holds the WBO title at 130-pounds, would have to take place in the second quarter of 2015 provided that he would earn extremely attractive purse.

"That is very premature. I have to sit down and discuss it and negotiate what I do. We have talked a lot and it is an option but nothing is clear yet. We must discuss the money, which is most important. And I have to sit down and discuss it with my nutritionist to know the risks [of moving back down]. And I evaluate everything," Martinez said.

Martinez said that he would agree to hold the fight after March indicating that he needs about three months of preparation, adding that at this stage of his career he has to evaluate all of the pros and cons before making a decision.

"I'm interested in the lightweight title. I repeat, there must be a good economic agreement and even if there a rematch clause demanded. Please give me a good deal and I'll do it. February is still too early and will not happen. I need time to train," Martinez said.
