BoxingScene.com has been informed that Martin Murray (28-1-1, 12 KOs) is set to face Domenico Spada (38-5, 19 KOs) on October 25 in Monte Carlo in the first defence of his WBC Silver middleweight title.
Italy’s Spada will be looking to rebound from his knockout defeat in Mexico at the hands of Marco Antonio Rubio in April while Murray is on a three fight win streak following his controversial loss to Sergio Martínez last year.
Spada has faced British opposition before in the form of Darren Barker whom he lost to on points back in 2011 in London.
