As previously reported by BoxingScene's Rick Reeno, the Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Juan Diaz rematch is close to being a done deal, but the fight has not been finalized as of yet. According to a reliable source, Diaz received a preliminary contract about a week ago but has yet to receive a finalized version of the contract.
The same source said, that barring any unforeseen circumstances, the deal should be completed next week. The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is the frontrunner to host the fight on July 10, with HBO pay-per-view carrying the fight. One of the supporting bouts being discussed would have Winky Wright face Sergio Mora - should Mora win this Saturday on the Hopkins-Jones undercard.
