WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez believes he is ready to face Manny Pacquiao for a third time on November 12 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Marquez previously fought Pacquiao to a draw and lost a close split decision. He returned last Saturday in Cancun and stopped Likar Ramos in the first round. The bout with Ramos took place at 140-pounds and the match with Pacquiao will take place at 144.
"Honestly, I expected more from [Ramos]. Sometimes those things happen in boxing [a quick knockout]. I never underestimate my opponents, so I always prepare a 100%. Now I will focus entirely on Pacquiao, a fighter who likes to fight, and that suits me. Pacquiao is not like Mayweather, who spends a lot of time [in the ring] being very cautious. As I've said, I will look to knock Manny out. I'm going to have a tremendous preparation," Marquez said.
