According to manager and trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain, former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez is sticking to his guns. The 40-year-old Mexican star is only interested in a rematch with WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley and has no desire to face Manny Pacquiao in a fifth meeting or have a junior welterweight fight with Ruslan Provodnikov.

"Juan has only one goal - to confront Timothy Bradley in a rematch. If that does not happen, he will retire. Juan wants to win another world championship, in a fifth division, and Bradley has the welterweight title," Nacho said.

Reportedly WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel will travel to Mexico, to grant a donation to more welfare institutions and during his visit he plans to speak with Marquez about a possible fight against Provodnikov for the absolute title at 140 pounds.

Nacho said they will talk with Paco, but has no idea if any progress will be made.

"I do not know what will come out of the conversation with Valcárcel," Nacho said.
