Mexican icon Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) is not worried about the boasts of WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs). The match takes place on October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Marquez, 40-years-old and winner of titles at 126, 130, 135 and 140 - wants to capture his fifth divisional title by handing Bradley his first defeat as a pro. Bradley promised to send the aging veteran into retirement with a clear loss.
"I'm not worried about anything related to Bradley. I have faced the best in the world and this is no exception. He is a great fighter, his record says it, but somehow I always have overcome the odds and this time it's going to be the same thing. This fight can be a turning point in my career, we'll see what happens. I feel very good but in the ring it is something else and I hope that what I have prepared for, everything that I've done for this fight with my team, will give us a positive result," Marquez said.
