Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez is confident that his boxer, Daniel Estrada (32-2-1, 24KOs), will captured the WBC lightweight title by defeating the reigning champion, Omar Figueroa (23-0-1, 17KOs), this coming Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Marquez has advised and helped train Estrada for his big moment. He plan to be by his side on Saturday. A victory would make Estrada the first world champion for Marquez, who is branching out as an adviser to up and coming fighters.
"I have great faith that Daniel could be crowned. He's coming in well prepared and he's dreamed of this championship for a long time. For me, it's very motivating to have the opportunity to be with him, supporting him. This should be something special for the two of us," said Juan Manuel.
"Figueroa is a great fighter, but no fighter is invincible in the ring. Omar has a lot of speed, respectable power. It's no small task in the ring and hopefully Daniel has a night of inspiration."
