According to Rogelio Espino, adviser to Panama's Luis "El Nica" Concepcion, a rematch with WBA flyweight champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez could now take place on October 29 in Hermosillo, Mexico. Espino has not received the contract, but there have been conversations with Marquez's promoter, Zanafer, and Oct. 29 appears to be the most viable date.

In April, Marquez (31-2, 24KOs) traveled to Panama to capture his belt with an eleven round stoppage of Concepcion (23-2, 18 KOs). Most experts are still regarding this battle as the "Fight of The Year" with non-stop action and multiple knockdowns involved. The fight came to a close when the ringside doctor determined that Concepcion's face had taken too much punishment.
