Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV-WBO junior welterweight champion was on hand in Las Vegas, NV for Sergio Martinez's exciting unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. After the fight Marquez spoke to BoxingScene about his upcoming showdown against  Manny Pacquiao.  Marquez admitted that he wasn't very confident that Pacquiao would accept a fourth fight against him.

"I always thought that Pacquiao wouldn't fight with me again. I was worried about it and I was surprised he accepted the fight with me but now I am very happy," Marquez revealed.

It's no secret that Marquez feels that he should be 3-0 against Pacquiao instead of 0-2-1. The four-division champion said that he plans on putting on a dominating performance in the fourth chapter of their rivalry so that there is no doubt that he is the winner.

"I will train very hard for this fight.  Pacquiao knows me and I know him. I am going to work on my speed for this fight. I thought I won the first three fights but they were close. I need to add a new wrinkle in this fight and make it decisive this time," Marquez told BoxingScene.com.

Marquez finished our conversation by saying that he is training hard and that he plans on putting on the best performance of his career.

"Everybody will see the best Juan Manuel Marquez on December 8th. I am training harder than ever."
