Philippine light welterweight champion Mark Jason Melligen (12-1, 9KOs) will make his United States debut in an eight round bout in either Las Vegas or Denver, Colorado on March 7.
Former Cebu resident Tony Martin informed ALA Gym chairman and boxing patron Tony Aldeguer that they had met with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum in his Las Vegas office and Arum gave specific instructions to matchmaker Bruce Trampler to get Melligen a fight.
