Mark Heffron has had his next fight date confirmed.

The undefeated super-middleweight has been out of the ring since last November.

Heffron stopped Lewis Taylor in Newcastle, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation, as part of the undercard to Liam Smith’s rematch victory over Liam Williams at the Metro Radio Arena.

And the 25-year-old (18-0, 14 KOs) will return to the same TV platform next month after being confirmed as an addition to a world title undercard.

He will make his comeback on May 19, as part of the supporting cast to Lee Selby’s IBF featherweight world title defence against Josh Warrington, the hometown hero, at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium.

Heffron will be joined on the bill by the already announced quartet of Nicola Adams, the double Olympic champion who will be in action over 10 rounds, as well as British super-lightweight champion Jack Catterall, WBO European super-featherweight champion Lyon Woodstock and undefeated cruiserweight Jordan Thompson.

Boxing Scene understands that there is expected to be action on the card for Nathan Gorman, as well as Danny Wright, Reece Mould and Darren Tetley.

Former Team GB starlet Jack Bateson and undefeated featherweight Jack Daniel will also feature.

In other news, George Brennan, Reece MacMillan and Jake Barton have all been added to the undercard of Hughie Fury’s British heavyweight title challenge against Sam Sexton.

The fight takes place on May 12 at the Premier Suite at Bolton Wanderers’ Macron Stadium and will be screened exclusively live on Channel 5 in the UK.
