OPBF super bantamweight MarJohn Yap (18-8, 10 KO’s) who is ranked No. 14 by the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation has won a unanimous eight round decision over Japanese prospect Akihiro Matsumoto (10-4-1, 5 KO’s)  while Jonathan Baat also won an eight round decision over his Chinese opponent in Kanazawa, Japan.

ALA Promotions reported that Yap used his quick hands behind a stinging jab and left-right combinations to beat Matsumoto by scores of 78-75, 78-74 and 79-74.

Southpaw Baat, who now fights out of Kanazawa, improved to 21-4-3 with 10 knockouts following his win over Qiu Xiang Jun (4-1, 1 KO).

ALA Promotions reported that Filipino female southpaw Jesebelle Pagaduan (2-0, 2 KOs), 106, scored a fine TKO win over Chinese Li Yun Ting (0-3) in the fourth and final round.  Six Chinese boxers, handled by ex-Olympian and currently promoter Liu Gang, all fought well though none of them won.
