Everyone is now wondering who WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito will target next. Following his sensational knockout of Miguel Cotto last Saturday in Las Vegas, two possible opponents are already being thrown around, neither of the two are Paul Williams, who decisioned Margarito in 2007.

Margarito wants another fight before the end of the year. Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank told writer Kevin Baxter that he would like to match Margarito with Shane Mosley - if Mosley gets past Ricardo Mayorga on September 27. Mosley has spoken about fighting Margarito in the past, and those close to him say that he is still very interested in the fight.

Margarito's co-manager Sergio Diaz told Baxter that he would like to see his fighter face Zab Judah in a unification bout, if Judah claims the vacant IBF welterweight title by beating Joshua Clottey on August 2. Judah was scheduled to face Margarito earlier this year, but outpriced himself. He was replaced by Kermit Cintron, who Margarito knocked out to claim the IBF title, but was forced to vacate the belt in order to face Cotto. He wants to reclaim the title he gave up.
