Junior welterweight Marcos Maidana faces Erik Morales on April 9th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. BoxingScene.com has been advised that if Maidana is successful in his fight versus Morales, then he will look to fight in his native Argentina this summer and then look to return to the United States in the fall or winter to finish the year with a big fight.

Amir Khan and Tim Bradley have agreed to terms to face each other in July as long as Khan gets past Paul McCloskey as expected in April.  Devon Alexander and Lucas Mathysse have reportedly reached an agreement to face each in June.  Rather that standing on the sidelines waiting to see who wins those fights, Maidana plans on fighting in Argentina in front of his countrymen before returning to the United States.

While Team Maidana doesn't think a rematch with Amir Khan will happen, they do think fights with Tim Bradley, Devon Alexander (If he beats Lucas Mathysse) or Zab Judah are all possible for an end of the year showdown.  Maidana's team thinks a fight with Bradley can happen even if Bradley loses to Khan.  They also think that the Bradley fight will be Khan's final fight at 140 pounds and that the British fighter will move to welterweight immediately afterwards.
