Former cruiserweight titleholder Marco Huck will be back in the ring for just the third time in the 2020s.

Huck, 43-5-1 (28 KOs), is set to headline a February 14 show in Halle, Germany, and streaming on DAZN, according to the service’s schedule of upcoming events. He will face the 26-22 Vaclav Pejsar, who like Huck is 41 years old. BoxRec lists Huck vs. Pejsar as a cruiserweight bout.

Huck had otherwise been competing at heavyweight ever since he suffered back-to-back defeats in title fights at 200lbs in 2017, losing a decision to Mairis Briedis and then getting stopped in the 10th round by Oleksandr Usyk.

Huck’s own cruiserweight title reign began in 2009 with a decision over Victor Emilio Ramirez and ended in 2015 with a stunning 11th-round knockout loss to Krzysztof Glowacki. Huck was ahead on the scorecards at the time.

During that reign, Huck also briefly jumped up to heavyweight in 2012 and challenged Alexander Povetkin for a secondary WBA title, losing a debated majority decision.

His heavyweight foes in recent years have been considerable steps down in level. Huck last fought in June 2024, outpointing the 19-5 Evgenios Lazaridis. And that came after nearly four years away, dating back to his August 2020 shutout of the 13-4, 335lb Dennis Lewandowski.
