BoxingScene.com has been advised that amateur standout Manuel "Tino" Avila, 18-years-old, has decided to go pro. Avila, a resident of Fairfield, California, has an amateur record of 48-6. He was ranked third in the world as a junior and plans to compete in the super bantamweight division. Avila has signed a managerial contract with Cameron Dunkin. He trains out of the Vacaville PAL.

Dunkin is presently speaking to various promoters who expressed interest in signing the fighter.
