Could there be another Mexican heavyweight contender on the rise? In what has to be the biggest win of his career, Manuel Quezada (28-4, 18KOs) knocked out the more experienced Travis Walker (31-3-1, 25KOs) in one round at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, California.
A feeling out process between the two, Quezada unleashed a combination of punches that put Walker to sleep at the end of the round. Quezada has won 17 fights a row. The last time he tasted defeat was back in December of 2005. He holds the WBC Caribbean Boxing Federation (CABOFE) heavyweight title and the win is sure to send him into the top ten rankings of the WBC.
