Unbeaten junior featherweight Manuel 'Tino' Avila will fight Rolly Lunas on May 7, Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Robert Diaz told Boxingscene.com on Wednesday afternoon.
The scheduled 10 round bout will take place at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles and will top a Golden Boy Promotions card.
The bout will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Deportes.
Avila (16-0, 7 KOs) has knocked out three of his last four opponents. In his last bout on August 22, Avila knocked out Sergio Frias in the eighth round. Three months earlier, Avila knocked out former world title challenger David De La Mora in the second round.
Avila resides in the Northern California city of Fairfield.
The Filipino-born Lunas (34-9-1, 20 KOs), who resides in San Diego, has not fought since November 16, when he was stopped by Chris Avalos in the third round. The loss snapped a seven-bout winning streak.
The bout will headline an 'L.A. Fight Club' card.
