Trainer Freddie Roach loves to talk trash. His prized pupil, Manny Pacquiao, prefers to stay quiet. Pacquiao doesn't see the need to talk trash. He plans to do his talking in the ring when challenges Miguel Cotto for the WBO welterweight title on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao was mobbed during his arrival in Las Vegas. Hundreds of Filipino boxing fans crowded around the pound-for-pound king.

"I understand that it is all part of being famous and a part of being successful. Despite all of the attention I get, I can keep focused on the fight at the same time I understand it is my responsibility to shake hands with people, waving and smiling," Pacquiao told Primera Hora.

Roach says the mob scene for Pacquiao-Cotto is nothing that he's seen before in the past.

"There's nothing like a big fight and this is an incredible atmosphere. A lot of people came out to welcome Manny, I think a lot more than [the amount] for the fight between Oscar de la Hoya and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. I was here, so I know what I'm talking about," Roach said.

Pacquiao said the fight with Cotto means everything. He says for the first time ever in the United States, his parents will attend. He doesn't think Cotto's size and power will be an issue for him.

"Miguel thinks that is stronger and bigger, but I have to believe in myself in the same way that Miguel believes in himself. I do not say anything before the fight, but I prefer that everything is said during the fight, "Pacquiao said.

"Not only am I fighting for the people of the Philippines, but also for those who enjoy a good fight and that's what I try to do. I will do my best. I do not want to disappoint anyone. The difference in this fight will be my speed, along with my power. It is a very important fight. Even my parents will be present for the first time in my career. I have the chance to make history by winning world titles in seven different weight categories."
